Our client is an international Loss Adjusting firm providing services to insurance companies, businesses and their advisors. They currently have a need for a Forensic Accountant to assist their expanding work load. This is a new role due to growth.

As you'll be experienced in forensic accounting and business interruption claims as well as economic loss assessment and the provision of litigation support, this work will be familiar to you. You will be people orientated and enjoy using your analytical skills and accounting knowledge to its full potential; developing enduring relationships with relevant stakeholders including claimants who may have suffered loss to their business through natural disasters, fraud in the workplace or disputes.

The Role

You will be involved in the following activities:

• Conducting financial investigations
• Liaising with Clients and providing expert advice
• Preparing, negotiating and settling material damage & business interruption claims
• Preparation of loss analysis details in accordance with insurance policies
• Determining loss quantum
• Preparation of insurance claims
• Preparation of reports suitable for use in court
• Provision of dispute advice
• And much more!

The Person

• Insurance background [ideally from a Loss Adjusting perspective] essential in Forensic Accounting
• Minimum 3 years CA/CPA experience
• Adept at preparation of business interruption insurance claims, undertaking economic loss assessment and more
• High level attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Proven relationship building skills
• Ability to empathise with people who have suffered loss to their business or property
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Good excel modelling skills to be able to construct complex financial models from data provided by clients
• Have a genuine interest in forensic accounting
