Insurance Analyst - IT

  • Experienced [circa 3 years] General Insurance Business Analyst

You will be working as part of a project team to identify, devise, plan and develop unique and customised solutions to meet the client's business needs. This involves the end-to-end process for deliverables attached to the solution, including business requirements, functional change specification, test plans, execution, time and cost estimates and managing stakeholders. 
You will be accountable for the delivery of the solution within time and budget to the acceptable standards of the business. You will be valued for your client facing customer service and analytical skills.  

The Role

• ESSENTIAL: Exposure to and knowledge of general insurance 
• Analyse and translate business requirements into system/functional requirements and produce functional requirement documents for Solution Architects
• Actively liaise with clients throughout project to ensure solutions are accurate, complete and comprehensive
• UAT co-ordination
• Identify project problems and outcomes
• Work with project team to devise and develop solutions
• Actively work with team members across all phases of project work
• Attend workshops to identify and document client's business requirements
• Attend project meetings
• Training and mentoring of a Junior Systems Administrator


The Person:

• Circa 3 years' experience as a General Insurance Business Analyst essential
• Excellent communication, presentation/training and customer-service skills
• Development and preparation of high-quality documentation
• Talent for identifying, analysing and creating solutions for business problems
• Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred
• Conceptual, analytical thinker with a strong customer focus
• Strong business acumen 
• Continuous improvement, initiative and ability to deal with change
• Resilience, perseverance and ability to meet deadlines
• Proactive, self-motivated team player
